There’s a bit in that article about how the show is going to explain why Spock never mentioned having a sister and like… Spock never mentioned that his parents were a Federation ambassador and his wife who were visiting his place of work until they were literally there and he knew Kirk for over twenty years before he saw fit to tell him he had a brother. I don’t think this needs much explanation: Spock has a sister he never told us about, say n’more. That’s his style, that is totally in keeping with what we know about how he goes about his business. I have no trouble believing this.
